My 2010 TO-DO list at my blog
- Get least 200 readers
- Write often as possible, 52 article is my target
- Become better at English, what else is point with this blog
- Take more than 30 pictures, and use them to this blog
- Read 20 english books, first book is being The Hobbits
- See movie with english subtitles, it sucks
I don’t know how I should know, but I know I have around 10 readers.
7 articles, then 45 to go
still same
Zero, oh my god I have failed
2 books are gone
It is going to be better, I can now follow what people are saying. English subtitles are showing very short, fuck them.I’m not smart enough yet, give me a chance please. NCIS is now my teacher at tv
- Try to end every article with a quote
Pretty easy, I must just remember to do that. I know many quotes, that wouldnt be a problem.
Will I complete my list? Let’s see when it goes past 2010.
Good idea! (:
Why 50 articles? Wouldn’t 52 make more sense? One article pr week.
As for reading books, I’d recommend not going at JRR Tolkien first. His English is outdated. It might be interesting to read, but not useful. Read what current writers are writing. Go for something fun and exciting, like Chuck Palahniuk. He’s using very basic language, but it’s very well formed. Read commercial stuff, that will get you hooked.
I’d also recommend reading other blogs. English blogs. Just about whatever, just make sure you find one that’s well written.

Thanks for great feedback, I think you’re right. About 52 articles and books I should read. Tolkien’s books is may outdated, but still nice. But may not right time to read.
Chuck Palahniuk is nice, I’ve thinked to buy fight club book. Is it some of his books I should check?

You might also want to check out his non-fiction books, since they’re written in a more non-artsy manner. I think there are two of them “Non-fiction” and “Fugitives and Refugees”. Both very good.
If you can chuck down 52 books in one year, you’d be pretty awesome!

Great work so far, stand on! Do not you think that Tolkien books is too heavy to begin with? Been there. What about easy-read books like Harry Potter. That keeps you motivated to read more and heavier over time.
Good luck

Hey dude,
You might want to consider changing your third goal from the top
You may not be where you want to be, but in my eyes it seems like that you are more capable of expressing yourself now than when you began writing here. So: do not loose faith! You’re improving! And, after all, you do still have 45 articles left to write
